Mineral Leasing Several new drilling sites in the Fort Worth area are being acquired by a very large Barnett Shale player, one of which will reach our homeowners. Neighborhoods are partnering together to form a larger footprint of land to help leverage a better deal. Learn more about Mineral Leases

Negotiations
We have been communicating with four oil & gas companies about leasing our mineral rights. We are currently working with leasing representatives to reach an agreement benefiting everyone involved. View latest News

Am I a GRNA Member?

GRNA consists of eleven full subdivisions plus many individual homeowners outside those subdivisions.  The information below will help you determine if you are a member.  It will also help you determine if you are eligible for the GRNA lease terms (it is possible to be a GRNA member but not be eligible for the GRNA lease terms negotiated with Holland/XTO).

You ARE a GRNA member if:

  • You own property in one of the following subdivisions:    Heatherwood Estates, Versailles Parc, Wintergreen North, Winterhaven, Glade Pointe, Madison Place, Mill Creek West, Mill Creek, Mill Creek Haven, Haven Addition, or Lonesome Dove Estates.  To my knowlege these are the only "complete" subdivisions that joined GRNA -- if  you are certain of another let me know and I will attempt to confirm.
  • You are a member if your property is within the blue area on our old map:  http://www.grna.us/images/grna-map.pdf
  • You are a member if you are on our email list, even if you are not in one of the subdivisions above.  We've had individual homeowners/landowners from the start, and many have joined during the past 14 months.  We are in the process of typing up this list, and we hope to give it to Holland/XTO on or before Oct 7th.  Please don't ask us to confirm you are on this list unless Holland/XTO says you are not, and please don't show up at one of the GRNA signing parties until we get them the list and they have a chance to do their research of property sizes for the people on the list (at which time this text will be removed from the web site).
  • If none of the above apply to you, but you joined without ever getting added to our email list, please let us know how/when you joined and we will attempt to confirm your membership and submit it to Holland/XTO.  Unsubstantiated claims will be ignored -- we will need to find confirmation that you joined.

You probably are NOT "entitled" to GRNA lease terms:

  • If you are outside the "primary area".  Note that this is not the same as the blue area on the old GRNA boundary map.  The "primary area" is defined as:  East of Precinct Line Rd, North of Mid Cities Blvd, North of Hwy 26, West of Bransford Rd, and South of LD Lockett Rd. This is not an absolute boundary -- for example we have an number of homeowners in the area West of Precinct Line Rd, North of Amundson Dr, East of Eden Rd, and South of Rumfield Rd who joined GRNA in January 2008 and are reached by one of the XTO drill sites impacting GRNA. But in general, if you are outside the primary area you are unlikely to be eligible for GRNA lease terms.
  • If you are not reached by one of the XTO drill sites impacting a major portion of the GRNA primary area.
  • If XTO is not interested in leasing mineral rights to your property under any terms.  Qualified GRNA members are entitled to GRNA terms if XTO wants to lease your mineral rights -- they should not be asked to accept different lease terms.  But if XTO honestly does not want to lease the property at all, they don't have to (but that decision is based on property location, not on whether or not you ask for GRNA lease terms).
